Visiting Rogers Bridge in Johns Creek

The team met with the City of Johns Creek to tour the future Cauley Creek Park. The park is 133 acres and includes the historic Rogers Bridge that spans the River.  The Bridge is slated for replacement that would stay in the style of the historic steel truss bridge and allow pedestrian and bike access across the Chattahoochee River, linking to the Western Gwinnett Bikeway and greenways along Suwannee Creek and Ivy Creek. As part of the Johns Creek Recreation and Park Strategic Plan, the city looks to acquire land not just for future parks but for future connectivity between parks as part of a larger recreational area. With this new access across the river, Cauley Creek Park will act as a gateway to Johns Creek and the surrounding parks. The park is planned to include active recreation with sports fields and areas for more passive recreation as well.
