Design guidelines

Inspired by the beauty of the River and its historical context the Design Team has carefully crafted this first set of Design Guidelines for the Chattahoochee Riverlands. We hope this guides stakeholders in developing a singular user experience through the multiple jurisdictions and varied landscape the RiverLands will traverse.

Final report

The Final Report represents an aspirational vision for the Chattahoochee RiverLands, developed in collaboration with current day stewards, paddlers, anglers, volunteers and citizens. This report summarizes work completed from November 2018 – April 2020. Much of this effort would not have been possible without the help and dedication of the passionate stakeholders and community members helped guide and shape this study.

Chattahoochee RiverLands Pedestrian Trail Bridge

The City of Smyrna and Trust for Public Land are exploring a new pedestrian and bicycle bridge across the Chattahoochee River. This bridge could improve connections between existing and planned trail systems in Smyrna and Atlanta while creating new opportunities for recreation, mobility, and access to the river. Share your input on project priorities, potential uses, and how this connection could serve the community.
