ACA “Kayaking 101” for National Safe Boating Week

As part of TPL’s Community Impact Day, we invite you to join Birds Georgia and TPL at the future site of RiverLands Gateway Park to build community, participate in an activity on the land, and pour into the future park through a group habitat restoration project. Birds Georgia is working with Trust for Public Land to remove invasive species and restore native bird habitat along the Chattahoochee RiverLands and we invite you to join us! Work will be supervised by Birds Georgia, and we need your help.
8:00 am – 9:00 am Bird Walk (led by Birds Georgia)
9:00 am – 9:30 am Coffee and Breakfast
9:30 am – 11:00am Habitat Restoration Volunteer Project
– Refillable water bottle
– Dress according to the weather and the work being done; chance of encountering poison ivy, insects, arachnids, etc.
– Close-toed shoes – boots recommended
– Sun protection: hat and/or sunglasses
– Recommended for bird walk: binoculars
