Join Park Ranger Jerry Hightower for this fantastic, fun filled discovery adventure at Sibley Pond. There are amazing and wonderful creatures living in the waters of Sibley Pond. Become pond scientists and look through the wet leaves collected at the edge of the pond for the aquatic stage nymphs of dragonflies and damselflies along with weird and wonderful insects of all sorts. Find tadpoles, minnows, newts, and scuds! Learn about the tiny, but fierce pond predators, life cycles, and more cool facts about the living pond community. This is an exciting and fun activity for persons of all ages. Identification guides will be available so that you can identify the “tiny monsters” you have found.
