WAWA Service Learning Saturday @ Hartnett Community Garden
02.14.26| 9:00AM
Don’t let this one be the fish that got away! Join the National Park Service for a morning of fin-tastic fishing fun at Island Ford Pond. Whether you’re a total newbie or just need to brush up on your casting, we’ll help you tackle the basics of gear, technique, and freshwater fishing in Georgia. You’ll get to cast your line, learn about native fish species, and discover how to be a reel-ly responsible angler.
Bonus catch: Participants of all ages can earn the coveted Junior Ranger Angler badge. It’s kind of a big gill.
Bring: Water, a hat, and sunscreen are recommended.
NOTE: Participants 16 years and older must have a valid fishing license. You can grab yours here: https://georgia.gov/purchase-fishing-or-hunting-license
Space is limited to 30 participants—so don’t flounder, sign up soon and let’s make this a morning to remember!
A $5 daily parking pass or annual pass is required at all Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area park units. You can purchase a day pass at the trailhead or online: https://www.nps.gov/chat/planyourvisit/fees.htm
