Event details
Join Birds Georgia and friends from the Community Foundation for greater Atlanta for a special bird walk at the Chattahoochee Nature Center focused on
Project Safe Flight, a conservation effort to understand what can be done to make Georgia’s cities more bird-friendly. This engaging walk will highlight the challenges migratory birds face as they navigate urban and suburban environments and explore how simple actions can help reduce bird collisions and protect Georgia’s birds.
Led by Adam Betuel, senior director of programs, we’ll search for migratory and year-round species along the scenic trails of the nature center while learning about bird-friendly initiatives you can implement at home or at work like planting native plants and bird-safe building practices.
This event is hosted in partnership with the Community Foundation of greater Atlanta’s Philanthropic Advisor Leadership Institute (PALI).
Limited to 10 participants.
