NPS Ranger Hike: Mulberry Creek Loop Trail Hike @ Johnson Ferry North

Join Ranger Jerry Hightower for a leisurely summer hike through lush wetlands and along the river’s edge! We’ll spot wildflowers, birds, and maybe even some wildlife as we explore one of the Chattahoochee’s designated National Wildlife Viewing Areas. Along the way, you’ll hear stories of the area’s natural and cultural history—from farmland to thriving floodplain forest.

• Location: We will meet in the lower gravel parking lot near the restrooms and NOC outpost.

• Facilities: Located near the NOC outpost pavilion

• Trail: Fairly level and easy; not recommended for very young children

• What to Bring: Water, comfy trail shoes, layers for changing temps, and optional binoculars, camera, or hand lens

• Entrance Fee: A daily entrance fee or annual park pass is required, and can be purchased in the Visitor Center or online at nps.gov/chat/planyourvisit/fees.htm
