Event details

Join Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, RootLocal and Nantahla Outdoor Center as they host this 11-mile paddle cleanup through a part of the river not accessible to most.

This will be a paddle cleanup from Riverview Landing in Smyrna to the Highway 166 Bridge off Campbellton Road. There is an enormous amount of trash and both paddlers and motorboats will be working together to get as much out of this section that we can. Gloves, trash pickers and trash bags provided.

Participants/volunteers must register on the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper website.

Chattahoochee RiverLands Pedestrian Trail Bridge

The City of Smyrna and Trust for Public Land are exploring a new pedestrian and bicycle bridge across the Chattahoochee River. This bridge could improve connections between existing and planned trail systems in Smyrna and Atlanta while creating new opportunities for recreation, mobility, and access to the river. Share your input on project priorities, potential uses, and how this connection could serve the community.
