CRK Atlanta Clean Up: CANCELLED
01.31.26| 9:00AM
This is a Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy led program. All exclusively CNPC led public events including public workdays, cleanups and hikes will continue as scheduled during a government shutdown.
Take a mindful midweek pause and join Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy & Birds Georgia for Feathers & Focus, a gentle winter bird walk paired with nature journaling. This is perfect event for a refreshing lunch break escape!
We’ll start by meeting at the picnic tables in front of the trailhead for hot coca, handwarmers and pick up your nature journaling materials. We will stroll along the flat, gravel trail at Cochran Shoals. Led by Sheridan Alford, Director of Community Engagement from Birds Georgia, we’ll tune into the sights and sounds of winter birdlife, from flitting sparrows to soaring hawks, while exploring the benefits of being present in nature.
Along the way, we’ll pause for nature journaling, using words, sketches, and quiet reflection to deepen our connection with the natural world. Whether you’re a seasoned birder or simply seeking a peaceful moment outdoors, this event invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and rediscover the joy of noticing.
