Situated along the Chattahoochee River, Riverside Park is part of the Roswell Riverwalk trail system and features green spaces, playground areas, and river access facilities, providing a setting for recreation and community use.
The park includes amenities such as multiple playgrounds geared toward different age groups, a sprayground (splash pad), picnic pavilions, restrooms, and seating areas. A canoe and kayak launch, fishing docks, and boardwalk or access paths along the river are available. The surface trail accommodates walking, running, and cycling and connects with the broader Roswell Riverwalk for extended use. Other facilities include a small outdoor stage or bandstand used for seasonal events, such as free concerts and food truck gatherings. Parking is provided in a main lot and additional overflow areas.
Riverside Park forms part of a broader system of riverfront open spaces known as the Roswell River Parks, developed under a master plan to unify and enhance public access to the Chattahoochee River corridor. The park layout centers around a main entry axis, with a sprayground on the east and a playground on the west, designed to reflect both riverside ecology and local history. The sprayground incorporates features reminiscent of Roswell’s historic mill era, while the playground leverages the site’s natural floodplain in its design. Riverside Park is also connected to nearby historic and natural areas—including Vickery Creek and Roswell Mill—through trail networks in the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area.
