Hit the trail with National Park Service Naturalist Jerry Hightower for a scenic loop hike through the oak-hickory forests and ridge tops of Vickery Creek! We’ll pass towering native Umbrella Magnolias, lush ferns, wildflowers, and rugged cliffside plants that thrive in dry, shallow soils.
This moderately strenuous hike offers gorgeous views and a chance to explore the hidden beauty of this Roswell gem!
- Meeting Spot: Trailhead parking lot at the City of Roswell Park on Oxbo Road (From Historic Roswell Square, head north on Atlanta Street/Hwy 9. Oxbo Road is at the bottom of the hill on the right.)
- Facilities: Just trees and thick shrubs—please plan accordingly!
- Difficulty: Moderately strenuous with some steep slopes.
- What to Bring: Water, sturdy hiking shoes, layered clothing, and optionally binoculars, a notebook, hand lens, or camera.
