Your PFD will keep you afloat, but how do you get back in your boat? (That rhymed)

We will learn 2 self rescues and 1 assisted rescue. Everything will be challenge by choice, but , there will be encouragement to try while instruction is available.

Registration Cost: $30

Spots are limited. Attendees must be 15 or older to participate. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Attendees do not have to know how to swim to participate, but should be comfortable in water. Participation of this event will require attendees to get wet.

 

What to Bring:

  • Towel
  • Spare clothes
  • Snacks (no tree nuts, please)
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Sunscreen

What to wear: (Avoid cotton clothes, if possible)

  • Quick-drying, water wicking shirt
  • Gym Shorts or Swim Trunks
  • Old Tennis Shoes, Closed-toe Sandals or water shoes
  • Hat with wind strap or chin cord
  • Sunglasses (sunglass strap recommended)

  • Kayaks
  • PFDs
  • Sunscreen
  • Light refreshments
  • Water
  • Gatorade
  • Safety whistle

 

Sweetwater Creek State Park requires all patrons to purchase a $5 daily parking pass upon entrance to the park. Carpooling is recommended.
