SUMMARY:Cleanup and Paddle to Buzzard Roost
DESCRIPTION:Join Chattahoochee Riverkeeper\, RootLocal and Nantahla Outdoor Center as they host this 11-mile paddle cleanup through a part of the river not accessible to most. \nThis will be a paddle cleanup from Riverview Landing in Smyrna to the Highway 166 Bridge off Campbellton Road. There is an enormous amount of trash and both paddlers and motorboats will be working together to get as much out of this section that we can. Gloves\, trash pickers and trash bags provided. \nParticipants/volunteers must register on the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper website. \nAtlanta Paddle Cleanup

DESCRIPTION:Trust for Public Land is working with Georgia Audubon to remove invasive species and restore native bird habitat at the Chattahoochee RiverLands Camp+Paddle Trail Site near Chattahoochee Hills\, GA and we invite you to join us! Work will be supervised by Georgia Audubon\, and we need your help at RiverLands Park in Chattahoochee Hills. \nConnect with the Georgia Audubon staff to learn the importance of native plants and habitats for birds and other wildlife while helping to remove non-native weeds and other undesirable species from the garden space. \nWhat to bring? \n\nWater\nDress according to the weather and the work being done; chance of encountering poison ivy\, insects\, arachnids\, etc.\nClose-toed shoes – boots recommended\nRecommended but not required: sunglasses\, binoculars (it’s a great spot for birding!)\n\nWhat to expect? \nAfter introductions\, we will go over the specific tasks we will be working on.
