DESCRIPTION:RiverLands Rambles are walks along the Chattahoochee River to discover the bold vision of the Chattahoochee RiverLands.\n\n\nVolunteer guides will lead you to points along the RiverLands Showcase site\, where The Trust for Public Land and Cobb County will build a 4-mile section of greenway trail\, trailheads\, overlooks\, and other amenities. \nAs we walk the “before” condition of the future RiverLands greenway trail\, volunteers will give you an overview of the 100-mile Chattahoochee RiverLands vision\, and provide information about this and other segments of the greenway and blueway. \nThe Ramble begins at Riverview Landing trailhead parking lot\, the entrance to which is just south of the parking lot for Riverview Landing and the retail shops. Depending on what map app you use\, 6263 Riverview Road on Apple maps\, or 6260 on Google Maps\, should give you an image of this parking lot. \nLook for a TPL sign along the road. \nLimited to 30 attendees. We will walk from Whittier Mill Park to the River\, then along the River to the proposed Lower Paul Avenue Park and back.  \nThis is an easy walk\, about three miles\, some of it along an infrequently used rail spur. Wear sturdy shoes—it may be muddy and the trail is unimproved. Bring a water bottle. Long pants and long sleeves are recommended. \nThe entire walk should take about three hours\, as we stop and talk along the way. \nTours begin at Whittier Mill Park. Limited to 30 attendees.
