SUMMARY:Adventure Scientists Beech Tree Field Day at McIntosh Reserve
DESCRIPTION:  \nDate: Saturday\, July 18\, 2026\nTime: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM\nLocation: McIntosh Reserve Park – Pavilion #3\n1046 W. McIntosh Circle\, Whitesburg\, GA 30185 \nJoin Trust for Public Land\, Adventure Scientists\, and Sierra Club Military Outdoors for a morning of conservation\, community\, and exploration at beautiful McIntosh Reserve Park. \nAmerican beech trees are an iconic part of eastern forests\, but healthy\, disease-resistant trees are becoming increasingly rare. During this volunteer field day\, participants will help collect samples from healthy beech trees to support important scientific research and future restoration efforts. \nNo prior experience is necessary. Adventure Scientists provides all training and sampling equipment\, making this a great opportunity for anyone interested in conservation\, citizen science\, or spending time outdoors.
