DESCRIPTION:Birds Georgia is working with Trust for Public Land to remove invasive species and restore native bird habitat along the Chattahoochee RiverLands\, and we invite you to join us! Work will be supervised by Birds Georgia\, and we need your help. \nRiverLands Gateway Park\, once open in 2026\, will be a regional trailhead and will provide key access for people to experience the RiverLands Greenway and Mableton Parkway greenway trails\, and also will provide desperately needed access to the Chattahoochee River via a kayak launch and boat ramp. \nWhat to bring? \n\nWater\nDress according to the weather and the work being done; chance of encountering poison ivy\, insects\, arachnids\, etc.\nClose-toed shoes – boots recommended\nRecommended but not required: sunglasses and binoculars\n\nRegister to attend here: https://birdsgeorgia.app.neoncrm.com/np/clients/birdsgeorgia/event.jsp?event=11103&

DESCRIPTION:Description: Join the National Park Service for a campfire and live owl program presented on the upper deck of the Center’s Lodge. Discover new facts about the wildlife of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area and their nocturnal habits. There will be a live owl program on the upper deck presented by Chattahoochee Nature Center Naturalists. Discover new facts about these fascinating native residents of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. There will be opportunities to take photographs with the birds. Join us and enjoy the ambiance and beauty of twilight on the Chattahoochee. After the program you are invited to join us on a short walk on the Three Forks Loop Trail. Join us for a wonderful winter event! \n6:45 – 7:30 pm Program on Upper Deck\n7:30 – 8:15 pm Night Hike (You must have a flashlight)\n8:15 – 9:00 pm Marshmallow Roasting\n6:30 – 9:00 pm Campfire ongoing\n7:30 – 9:00 pm Kids Crafts \nLive Owl Programs Courtesy of the Chattahoochee Nature Center\, an environmental education partner of the National Park Service.
